What's the difference between tentara and prajurit?

"Adik laki-laki saya ingin menjadi tentara" is not accepted, even though it is technically more correct than the given answer.

Why is "adik saya mau menjadi seorang tentara" incorrect?

Tentara = Army. Prajurit = Soldier. Please fix this, thanks.

Why does the translation leave out "a" i.e. "seorang". A soldier should be translated to seorang tentara right?
