This is the seventh time I had the word شَيء this lesson but the first time that it was highlighted as a new word. Isn't the word supposed to be highlighted the first time we see it?

Kinda of - it's there for you to stop the sound with your throat instead of "joining" the words. Probably more noticeable when we get to an advanced level
