There is no exact equivalent in English for kita or kami. The duolingo Lingo method can't teach it either.
Kita= we including the person being spoken to
Kami= we excluding the person spoken
In English you imply kita or kami using we or our based on earlier or future info on whether the person being spoken to is part of your group.
To remember the difference between kita and kami I remember kami has mi and mi is me not including you. That said Indos can mix the 2 and kita is the preferred default.
