What is the difference and which context would you use either eu sou or estou.

*Verbo ser (sou, és, é, somos, sois, são) = permanent states

*Verbo estar (estou, estás, está, estamos, estais, estão) = temporary states

Exemplos:

Eu sou brasileiro. (I am Brazilian)

Ela é arquiteta. (She is an architect)

Nós somos casados. (We are married)

Eu sou alto. (I am tall).

Eu estou cansado. (I am tired)

Ela está grávida. (She is pregnant)

Eles estão com fome. (They are hungry)

Você está com sede? (Are you thirsty?)

Ser (sou, é, é, somos, são, são): permanent, since I was born. Example: I am American. Estar (estou, está, está, estamos, estão, estão): temporary, isn't since I was born. Example: We are sad.
