Duo is now bothering me with supportive messages

While doing the standard 10 questions lessons on the website I had two interruptions¹ by duo saying that I was making progress. Of course I am, Duo :) But to me this means two useless screens to validate. And I would very much prefer not having them.

Can you please allow us to disable these useless messages from the setting panels ?

¹I am paying for Duolingo plus, and I am interested in the feature "no interruptions" which is advertised.

Thanks for reading me

edit: typos, precision that this is on the website

edit: list of sentences I got:

edit: I found other threads related to this problem: (many upvotes => upvote this thread if you you feel concerned), (showing that this a very old bug),,, (duplicates of this thread).

Today I got them too in the browser version. I find these messages are a little bit annoying, please make it possible to turn them off.

Is this in the app? I find them infuriatingly annoying, and whilst Clubs existed someone mentioned how they made him swear. Of all the people who have discussed it, I have never found someone who likes them.

I also find them infuriatingly annoying for three reasons:

  • I do not accept human-like comments from inhuman creatures (especially not from a website that is not aimed at passing the Turing test)
  • The tone of the comment itself is childish, which might not bother a very young user (maybe), but bothers me
  • Stops me (I have to press Enter) and distracts me

If this does not get fixed I will have to come up with a hack like JS modification via a browser extension or filtering of the networks packets :'(

If you find a way to filter these messages out, could you please tell it here? That would be great.

Oh no, I have realised my mistake when I just saw one on the website. The end is nigh.

God Jesus, Now it is bugging me...

Yeah, these stupid interruptions really get on my nerves. They must give us an opportunity to disable it.
