Irish language communities? Tutors?

Dia dhuit! This last year I promised myself I would take my time selecting a language that I wanted to commit to learning. I quickly fell in love with Irish, but promised myself I’d experiment with other languages first to see what fit. A year later, everything from French to Turkish sampled, and here I am; obsessed and hooked on Irish. I am finally on a good learning schedule but I feel a little isolated from other learners. I’m looking to see if anyone is aware of any online groups or communities where Irish learners congregate or if there are any native speakers on here willing to lend a hand and better allow me to use the language! I’d appreciate any help! Thanks!

There is a Yahoo group for the Philo-Celtic Society that might be of interest; I believe the run free classes on an ongoing basis.
    This is their website: http://www.philo-celtic.com/
And this is the Yahoo group address http://groups.yahoo.com/group/philo-celticsociety/ You have to request to become a member of the group.

Daltaí na Gaeilge maintains a list of Irish classes around the world - maybe there is is something available close to you:

You can also search sites like meetup.com - though it is typically geographically based, I believe that there are some online classes organized using it.

If you can find a trad music session and go to it or if its to far away find the group online and contact them and ask if any of them speak Irish. That's how I found people at first and I still go to the Trad music as well as going to an Irish language conversation group. There is also this Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/IrishLanguageLearners/

I like to have the language around all time to pick up the sound of it. So I enjoy the irish language media especially the tv network which streams at tg4.ie. There are a bunch of radio streams as well Raidio Life from Dublin and Raidio Failte from Belfast especially.
