Why is it not la usono it says the united states. The word "the" doesnt have a capital T so you would assume they arent including it in the name of the country

No country name in Esperanto has "la" before it. It's a convention in English to put a lowercase "the" before United States, but this convention doesn't exist in Esperanto.
