LEARN ARABIC WITH JAWAD - SECOND SERIES - THIRD LESSON

You have probably noticed that the latest vowel of a noun or adjective changes from a sentence to another. kitaabo - kitaaba - kitaabi Arabs master this difficulty by listening a lot and speaking a lot and those who use only their arabic dialects makes mistakes when they speak and they would say for example ((kitaaba)) instead of ((kitaabo)) This is briefly how to know wich form you must use

  1. if the noun is the sbject - use the form with o - kitaabo
  2. if it is the object - use the form with a - kitaaba
  3. if comes after a preposition or another noun - use the form with i - kitaabi

examples :

  1. al-kitaabo mofiidon = the book is interesting
  2. ishtarayto l-kitaaba = I bought the book
  3. al-bitaaqato fi l-kitaabi = the card is in the book
  4. ayna ghilaafo l-kitaabi = where is the cover of the book
