How do you know if whether (َ ُ or ِ ) would come at the end of the word? And with what words do they come. Idk why duolingo wouldn't teach this.

Cairo is a capital of Egypt marked wrong. There must be the imaginable THE in Arabic

If it were القاهرةُ عاصمةٌ then that translates as 'Cairo is a capital'

But the capital here is definite, defined by the 'idafa' or the 'of something' - it is 'the capital of Egypt' and there is only one.

so it becomes definite. So Cairo is the capital of Egypt.

"Cairo is a capital of Egypt" is wrong because it assumes Egypt has more than one capital.
