I was wondering if there is a short form for 'the Mediterranean Sea' in Arabic as there is in English ('the Mediterranean' or, informally, 'the Med') or if we always have to use three words: اَلْمُتَوَسِّط في ٱلْصَّيْف. Thank you!

The full name is actually البحر الابيض المتوسط literally translating to the white middle sea We just call it البحر المتوسط And المتوسط في الصيف means the Mediterranean in the summer btw

In the summer v in summer?

-- either of those sounds natural in English --

I initially thought this was "I love the morning at the Mediterranean sea in summer"

Probably most of us newbies have tripped up repeatedly on "siin" versus "Saad" -- "the morning" could be الصباح (among other possibilities) -- whereas "swimming" = السباحة --
