navajo without audio is pointless

I'm sure I'm not the first to point this out, but how hard can it be to get a few recordings? The beta version is useless.

Well, I guess they will add audio in a next version. It's still interesting to learn vocabulary and grammar. I appreciate this beta.

I agree. While it is nice to learn a language with audio (crucial, actually, if you really want to learn it), there are still some very useful things you can pick up without sound.

No. Navajo was never a written language...!

i kinda agree, especially because navajo isa tonal language.

That's what I thought, too.

I would make the argument that any language tutorial without audio is pointless. That's like trying to learn to cook without food or a kitchen.

I'm putting the course on hold until it's updated with some audio. So far it's interesting but frustrating

Great audio samples here on You Tube with some of the phrases used here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6P1snUWFR4

The navajo language was not written until the early 1900

A phonetic, or native American alphabet, might help.

Most of the Native American languages aren’t written ones.As you can tell, it uses the Latin alphabet like almost all the European languages.I’m only aware of Cherokee being the only Native American language with it’s own alphabet.

An interesting commentary here from an elder who describes a historic tradition of NOT writing the Dine Bazaa (Navajo language). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgE-A8I4cBI
