Just getting started with Russian
Recently been starting Russian (like.. today) and was looking to some recommandations on how to learn this weird language faster.
Alphabet? Practising the tests at Duolingo?
Just finished some exams for spanish and i'm currently at B1, so looking to learn another language at the same time.
Btw i just love Russian accent, Russian rap, Russian Films and their history. Really looking to learn this language.
I’ll put links soon
1.) listen to alphabet song on улица сесам
2.) learn to type https://www.keybr.com/login/zSRF8cOqpi
3.) use google chrome on pc and install duokeyboard and duolingo vocabulary manager extensions
4.) keep a notebook and parrot every russian word you hear and read as you write it down
If you want to read you have to know the alphabet and pronunciation. In addition, most of the lessons are read-oriented.
Adding onto this ^^
Yeah, the beginning alphabet skills don't really teach the alphabet all that well. write down the alphabet and its pronounciations, and/or make flashcards!
I suggest listening to some music in Russian and trying to write in it. Practice using common words and phrases out loud, to familiarize yourself with the sounds. Good luck!
Yeah! Russian music is great, I absolutely adore the hatters, кайфмэн is one of my favorites
Whenever I hear a word I really like I just randomly use it as if I was speaking Russian. Луна Луна Луна Луна
Hey. I'm Russian. 1st - you should study here. 2nd - communicate to somebody.
I'm new too. Look for a program called Write it Russian or something like that. I was able to learn Cyrillic in an afternoon. It makes the first few lessons way easier to understand instead of guessing at the sounds of the letters.
