"It'll depend a lot on what they experience usually. The first question is: until the issue, where they manually entering their login and password every single time they opened Duolingo? [or were they relying on their browser remembering login and password?] "

Thanks, Jane, I'll pass that on to the team in the hopes that someone can come up with a solution. It's been suggested that you might have got the password and login incorrect. Have you been able to login on another device using the same password and login? If so what device?

Ok, I've sorted it by going back to the Duo website and logging on afresh rather than letting my computer do it automatically (although that has served me well for 2 years!). Thank you for the suggestion...I'm posting this just in case someone else has the same difficulty. Thanks again and great language course folks! :)
