What is the character after the second alif in 'wall'?
This is Hamza as well and it is written like that to alert the reader that this is to be read as "i" and not as "a". So the word is (Há-iT).
According to my information Alif is only then a Hamza, if it has a sign, meaning a fatha or a damma or a kasra or another sign which is not the case here. It is just an Alif and prolongs the sound of Ha.
I didn't understand your point. Sorry.
And how do I do this character on my keyboard?
The ئـ ?
on my keyboard here it is on the letter "Z" - it might be different from one device to another and one keyboard to another, I guess.
It turns out to be Z on my keyboard, as well, just as TJ_Q8 said below. Thanks.
I found it under ئ in combination with ط it came ئط
