Arabic Writing System/Transliteration Guide

Studying Arabic Writing System for Noobs on Quizlet: https://quizlet.com/418022900/arabic-writing-system-for-noobs-flash-cards/?x=1jqU&i=iy1pc

Here's a resource I made for helping people learn the writing system. :)

That's useful but like so many other card sets that deal with Arabic orthography, one really needs all forms of the letters -- initial, medial, final.

I can't type them on a computer alone. Sorry.

My keyboard has a special character to do that, it's shift-J (arab ta):

س سـ ـسـ ـس

ج جـ ـجـ ـج

Actually, I am just wondering how you know the sound of the letters you try to learn there? In case you have an Android mobile, please let it me know. I will send you then 2 or three suggestions where you can study the letters and there pronunciation. ;-)

I tried to flesh it out as much as possible

I'm interested. Could you give the links please?

Someone on another Arabic thread pointed me to an app called Write It! Arabic, which I am finding very helpful. It teaches the different forms of the letters and groups the lessons so you learn the different variations of how the letters are pronounced depending on the punctuation marks. I'm finding it very helpful so far, as I am learning how the letters look, sound, and how to write them using the app.
