System down / unreliable
I've tried my Win10 Desktop, my MacBook Pro, and my Android phone. Every time I finish a lesson, the app hangs and my progress is lost. These are on two different networks (corporate T3 and AT&T's "5"G). Something is seriously broken and unreliable.
When the system is slow, it duplicates posts. The slower it is, the more identical posts. I can see at least 10 of this post, but that is as many as can load in, so there are probably more.
There was apparently a glitch at around 4:20 PM EST. I also lost some points (20-30). I completed two lessons Spanish-Catalan and did not get credit. Both downdetector and itsdownnow websites showed a spike in reports just after 4PM EST, so there was some interruption. I also couldn't get data from duome at that time. It seems to be okay now.
I actually tried to post this to Troubleshooting. Not sure how it appeared in French 11 times, but then, the app wasn't exactly responsive...
and what has this to do with the French language sub forum?
Why don't you move this thread (the first of 11) to the "Troubleshooting(English)" forum where staff might actually have a better chance to read it?
Simply edit your main comment and choose the other forum from the drop down list.
Had a similar problem - 140 experience points today, but still stuck on the same points as yesterday.
No wonder duo was warning me of loosing my streak despite the fact that I had already finished my quota for the day. But since you cant argue with a comp, I just went ahead and did two more lessons to save my streak.
The system is even worse now.....Once I have done a test, I just get a blank screen........what on earth has happened....why no news from Duolingo?
My disks (that show the subject) are off kilter. They are not contained in the center and when I click for that subject some of the questions are going into the answer and they are impossible to read. Also the sound is not working during the exercise. The sound is on when I check and it is on to tell me I am finished. Please help!
