Irish help, le do thoil!
I am re-learning Irish for the first time in over 20 years and having difficulty remembering some language basics I previously learnt as a child.
One thing I keep getting stuck on is the word 'the' which can be 'an' or 'na' - is there a simple rule to follow in order to know which word you should be using?
Thanks in advance!
For all plural nouns and feminine genitive singular nouns, use na. For all other singular nouns, use an.
On the use of duolingo ... if you access it from a full-sized browser rather than an app on a smartphone, many of the lessons have concise lessons that will help with that re-learning. When you get ready to open a lesson and see a lightbulb icon, click on it, and you'll get lots of helpful content.
