Would "Mike is Dr Kennedy" be a valid translation here? (The guy you met at the party is also the doctor you have an appointment with.)

I don't think so :) I think the name "Kennedy" would rather be transliterated as كينيدي in Arabic (there are some conventions when writing modern foreign names into Arabic, in a way not using diacritics).

If you mean the word دكتور, then there should be, but the audio in Duolingo's Arabic course is machine-made and 50% of these recordings if not more are actually wrong in grammar and/or sounding (needless to say some words that are taken from dialects rather than proper Arabic).
