Siblings can't sign up with 1 parent's email

Because only one Duolingo account can be connected to any one email address, any student whose parent or sibling ever had a Duolingo account can't sign up unless their parent has more than one email address or unless the student has an email address of their own (which is somewhat unusual for my students). I understand that the students can use a fake email to sign up but then they won't get any of the HW notifications. Is there any way around that? Thanks for any help you can provide!

Often you can create "alias email addresses".
Parents can use for each child an unique "alias email address".

Anyone who isn't ready for an email address isn't ready for access to a public forum such Duo offers.

That said, you can register with an email such as parentsemailusername+kidsname@gmail.com and create a filter in gmail that separates emails sent to that address in to a folder for the kid. If that wasn't clear, you don't have to create a new email but just sign up for a duo account with youremail+anything@gmail.com.

Like, just add a plus sign and something after it before the @gmail part. Duo will think it's a unique account, gmail will send it all to whatever precedes the plus sign.

This is also useful for tracking who's selling your email address to other people. For instance, if I ever get something from anyone but duo that was sent to myname+duo@gmail.com, I'll know that duo has sold my information.
