Irish course starting on futurelearn next month
The introduction to Irish is starting again next month. You can register here;
This is the first of 8 courses. Each one is 4 weeks long. It is a basic introduction starting with ogham. You may not be familiar with this. It is the ancient Irish alphabet where letters were carved by incisions. You can learn to write your name in ogham and translate your name into Irish.
A lot goes on in the forum and all participants are learning just a single language. I did it first time around and it was very popular. Join up anyway. It is free as long as you don't want a certificate and it is a good foundation for the subsequent modules
Do you know how the material matches up with/contrasts with what we're learning on Duo?
As you can see from the course description at the link above, that course only covers a small part of the content on Duolingo, but it does it as part of a much wider context.
