How do I monitor time spent on Duolingo?

I am new to using Duolingo with my students. I want my high school seniors to be self directed - so I am requiring them to put in a minimum of 30 minutes of practice time on Duolingo each week.

Is there a way for me to easily check how much time each student puts in?

Thank you for helping me figure this out.

That is super easy! Click on the classroom that you have created. On the left side, it will say "Assignments." Click on that. The top option is "Assign XP." That's what you want. They will tell you there that 10 XP is equivalent to 10 minutes, etc. (I forget what exactly...)

To be fair, if your students decide to do "Introductions" ten times, they will get through it quicker and get more XP than if they did "Subjunctive" one time. But it is a good guideline. And I personally don't see much of a problem if they get immensely solid on the basics, just as long as they are looking at the target language for even five minutes a night outside of class.
