Testing out of levels--initial test needs improvement

I feel that the progress test on the right side of the screen doesn't get users who already have some skill in a language enough of a boost past material they have already mastered.

I took the Duolingo Spanish progress test and tested out of level 0 in Intro, Phrases, Travel, Restaurant, Family, and shopping, But my Spanish is way better than that. I'm now going through, taking the tests that go with the specific lessons, in each of these lessons. In one night I have already knocked off levels 1, 2, 3, and 4 in five of them, and levels 1, 2, and 3 in the three others. I could do more, but it is really boring to be working on stuff far beneath my level, and I need to take a break.

Can't Duolingo fix this? How do I contact them about it?

Since duolingo is constantly changing things this may or may not work.

Using the web version of duolingo. That is www.duolingo.com with a browser.

You can jump to the next checkpoint (castle with flag), and try to test out of the skills above the checkpoint.

Since duolingo is constantly changing things this may or may not work.

Using the web version of duolingo. That is www.duolingo.com with a browser.

At the bottom of the tree, you will see checkpoint 7 (a castle with the number 7), click on the icon and take the test. If you pass the test, this will open up the whole tree, you can then use

Fiery Cat’s Vocab per Skill Unit for the Spanish / EN Course (159 skills) to guess what is being taught in each skill.

Routines 3 teaches reflexive verbs.

When taking the checkpoint 7 test, you might not know all the answers, so open an new browser tab, and use google to find out the right answer. (Your goal here is to open the whole tree, not to really “test” yourself. You want to open the whole tree, so you can go back and learn what you want, when you want.)

You can test out of individual skills too, by pressing on the key symbol.

That is my problem. I am having to test out of individual skills one at a time. It is all far below my level. I'm accruing loads and loads of points taking all these key tests. But it is taking a lot of time to bust through them, even though I can do them as fast as I am able to type. Do you understand what I mean?

First off all there's no need to go beyond Level 1, just continue walking down the tree to see if you can find something new ;)

Oh, thank you! that is really helpful So once I open up the next test by doing level one, I don't have to do levels two through 5. Excellent. Something about your comment made me realize I could click on the castle at the head of a group of lessons and get access to those lessons without completing all the levels through five. Very useful. Thanks so much!
