Will there ever be Esperanto stories for English speakers?
I really love them in Spanish and German. I think that hearing the whole story is better than just one sentence at the time.
I'm working on a complementary site which will provide the ability for the community to translate the stories into the remaining languages (and more). It's in alpha atm (and lacking a design thus far), but you can read Esperanto translations of a few stories here: https://stories.transmog.com.au/en/stories/list/eo
Corrections and contributions welcome! If anyone wants to get involved with translating the stories or providing audio, we have a Facebook group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/rakontoj.de.duolingo.en.esperanto/
Hmm, I haven't considered it yet but I'll have a look once the basic features are in place and some design/styling work has been done. And perhaps once we have at least one complete set of (10) stories.
Except that Duolingo is volunteer-driven (it is why there was an early Esperanto course at all, even though there are many more 'popular' languages than Esperanto). So if there are volunteers willing to put in the time to translate and offer stories in Esperanto...little reason why Duolingo wouldn't add them.
I don't think the stories are volunteer driven, I think they actually hire on translators and voice actors for those, which is why we have so few comparatively.
Hi, duolingo is boring after You achieved a certain level. Try it out, I created the articles from Esperanta Retradio. Also check the years 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 all are very interesting. https://www.lingq.com/hu/learn/eo/web/course/425937
