Useful post bump: Fairytales
I was spelunking in the Search results and found a wonderful post from a few months back on Fairy Tales resources for learning. It has links for many different languages.
Posting the link so newer forum users re-discover it.
Spelunking, good verb! You definitely need a rope and a good light when you're trying to find your way out of the search results.
Very similar and very good
Accompanying site bookbox.com (temporarily unavailable, but redirects to an interesting partner)
And this catalog of stories with rarer languages availables (links to YT)
You could also try https://www.thefablecottage.com/ (spoken)
And http://en.childrenslibrary.org/ (rare languages as well as common ones)
Or http://www.childrensbooksforever.com/ for downloadable PDFs of adorable stories made free by their author
The last ones written only.
Happy reading :)
May I suggest you share those links on the post that I bumped? That way, any users following that post will benefit from your share as well.
Useful when I realised what you meant (so have a lingot), but I honestly thought from your title that this was advice to a new mother! Is "post bump" a specifically English euphemism for having given birth?
LOL!!!! Oh Janet that's a perfect way to end my day, with a good giggle!
I'm not aware of it being a euphemism. But that could definitely be a fun way to make that reference.
In other online forums, the most recently-active posts always sort to the top. When someone makes a comment on an existing post, it "bumps" the post back to the top of the sorting, thus improving it's visibility.
