Free Comics in 12 Languages
Comic Book Plus is a site that hosts out-of-copyright comics. I just found out that they have comics in 12 languages: Arabic, Catalan, Dutch, French, German, Hindi, Hungarian, Italian, Filipino, Portuguese, Romanian, and Spanish. I know that these comics are old but I hope they will be of interest to some of you.

Thanks for sharing this! What a fantastic site. My only complaint is that I can't pluck these comics off the screen, and sit down by the wood stove and read them. My laptop will have to do.
You could have a picture of the wood stove as your desktop background. :-)
It appears you can register for free and download them. From there, you could print them out.
Btw thank you, apainintheneck! Ha ha, I didn't pay attention to your username until I had to write it out. Cheers!
Ya, I agree. It would be cool if we could access the comics in real life.
Thank you so much for sharing this link!
I will definately be practising my reading with these. It makes it much easier when you can see the illustrations because you can understand easier what is happening, even if you can't read all the words.
This is very neat, and this may help also! It’s a heartwarming wecoic series called Pepper and Carrot, and it comes in multiple languages for foreign readers. Due to it being meant for native speakers through, it may be a bit advanced though. But all in all, the comics are adorable! I thought I’d share here. https://www.peppercarrot.com/en/article234/potion-of-flight
This looks like a fun comic and it has been translated into a boatload of languages. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! Beautiful, skillful and lovely!
And soooo many languages!!!
This thread is becoming a real treasure trove!
Thanks so much for sharing the link!
Thank you for sharing this link, apaninteheck. Y suerte, ¡que casi llegas a la racha de 100 días!
If someone need a modern comic in German I recommend this one http://www.sandraandwoo.com/woode/2008/10/19/ein-ausgefuchster-waschbar/ and if German is too difficult there is an english version too :)
¡Este también en un enlace excelente! Aunque ojalá también tuvieran historietas en otros lenguajes.
Great link, too! I only wish they had comics in other languages, too.
The French love comic books. The two classics that I read to my students are Asterix le Gaulois (very easy, and lots of fun adventure), and Tintin (very wordy, but non-stop action). There are lots of other good ones, like Yoko Tsuno, Zombilennium, Boule et Bouff... tons of others. And there are lots of translations of manga. But start with those two tried-and-true ones.
Thanks! That's fabulous. I love to read in my learning languages to increase my vocabulary and understanding in context.
Spam is unwanted while this fits here because it's another way to improve people's languages skills.
Also, go check by yourself: not everyone is starting posts like this (and not everyone will) and the forums are not becoming a market.
EEE is the yes but the no is the EEE? EEE? EEEEE!? WHERE IS THE EEE?!!??
Fortunately you're speaking for yourself (and some others, I guess) but not for me! =D
did you want someone to actually answer that question? or was it rhetorical?
