Answers get lightened up so you cannot read them after exercise.

I wish we could go back and not have the answers lightened up that we just typed in. It is helpful to me to quickly look it over, whether I got them right or wrong. Does anyone else not like this?

I agree

I haven't noticed that. I suspect you are using the iOS app, or Android?

I use my Mac laptop - so web app?

Yes, I noticed that too. Very greyed out once answered. Android, web, and iOS. On the web I have to zoom in so I can make notes for any lesson I answered incorrectly or maybe want to note for vocabulary.

on the web portal?

Is this a new A/B test?

Do you mean that your typing text gets almost invisible because the input text field is getting disabled and grey on grey is not that great readable (after the check/verify button)?

I use a Tampermonkey userscript called "Duolingo Re-Enable Textarea" to workaround this.

What means "answers ligthen up"?
Are they highlighted in a different colour than grey?

Do you mean that your input text is not black (as usual) but is ligthened up in a different colour like white while you are typing it and BEFORE you are hitting the check / verify button (on the web)?

Right now my entered text is in black.
Black text on grey background is good.
I am not sure if maybe some activated userstyle forces this...will have to test / disable....

Maybe you are speaking about the mobile apps and the new A/B typing test?

I usually have the issue of answer highligthing (in blue) on the web portal with multiple choice options.

The multiple-choice option box gets highlighted in blue and the text was changed from black to white.

I am using a userstyle with the Stylus addon (browser) which allows me to change the text font from white back to black for those highlighted multiple-choice boxes in blue.

Works great.

Can you upload any screenshot to (or any other site) and include it here so we fully understand what you mean?

The code to do this is ![my image/screenshot description](

We have some talented userscript programmers and CSS / html frontend developers in our community so I am sure we will find a solution if you stick to the web portal ;)

Viele Grüße
