I would love that DL added the story option in Italian. Who's with me?
In the meantime I highly recommend ‘Short stories in Italian for beginners’, by Olly Richards. I got it on Amazon, plus a free audio of the whole thing by signing up to an Audible trial. There are three volumes and after doing those I’ve been able to read novels in Italian.
I'll add my voice to that! I feel very left out. There's this great resource and source of XP that's denied to Italian students. How hard would it be to throw some Italian stories together or even just translate the ones they have. I'm not a native speaker, but I would be willing to contribute to make it happen. There's no excuse not having each of the world's most spoken languages represented.
Especially if DuoLingo added comprehension questions and set the material at A1 to C2 like Lingua.
I agree. I tried stories in Spanish before and they were fun. I kept searching for stories in Italian but i got disappointed.
i am totally with you! but i can't complain...Duolingo is doing a great job!

The publisher Penguin brought out a collection of short stories by Italian writers six months ago.
