is: Let us build!" also good?

That would be "construamus", with an "a" instead of the "i".

"We build" -- "construimus"

"Let us build" -- "construamus"

This is the "hortatory subjunctive". (Now, aren't you sorry you asked?)

Came here to ask the same question

I thought "Construimus" could be translated as "we build", "we are building" or "we do build". However, Duo did not recognize "we do build"

While all three forms are valid in context, the affirmative (we do build) is so rarely used in English that we usually don't include it, in the interest of time. We have to draw the line somewhere.

Feel free to report it and we'll add it when we process the reports.
