  5. "That special school is more …

"That special school is more complicated."

Translation:Sekolah khusus itu lebih rumit.

In my country the term "special" school is applied to schools that largely cater for kids with special needs or learning issues. I think in the Duolingo context 'khusus' is more like 'private' or 'exclusive' or 'selective'....something like that rather than 'special'

I share this sentiment. Is "special school / sekolah khusus" in Indonesian context generally understood as a fast-lane school and not, as Brad and I would have interpreted it, a school for kids with special needs. To be honest i am not sure how "special school" is generally perceived in English either... Would really like to have that clarified.

Can I not use istimewa instead of khusus?
