214 Chinese radicals are suitable for "Traditional Chinese".

"Japanese Kanji and Simplified Chinese" simplified the font of words, they look similar but different at all, and develop their own radical system.

Are you Japanese? Maybe try the Hanyu Pinyin for Chinese words, it's more friendly for a Chinese beginner

hope this been helpful

中文汉字与日语汉字 意思有些不一样,现代汉字与古代汉字随着时间的推移用法有些大不相同,本义基本上很少使用,多使用引申义或则比喻义。日本汉字是从古代中国传过去的,大多数还保持着本义;有些汉字传过去由于语言障碍,当时日本人理解的意义与本义有所不同。

The 214 Kanji radical was adopted about 200 years ago from 214 Chinese radical in Chinese dictionary. So I guess they are the same, similar to what happened to the English characters in Romaji.
