I'd like to thank the creators of this course

Seriously, it's the little languages that deserve the spotlight. Even though millions care more for Spanish, French, Italian, etc., some of us really enjoy learning novel and beautiful languages such as Ukrainian.

I can see this course was made with limited resources, but with care. I can tell by the smiley faces in the tips and notes. The course is short, but includes a lot of great information that will get you started in learning the language.

For about half a year ago I've gotten back into duolingo to catch up and get ready to study Russian and German in university, but Ukrainian has caught my eye and learning it became a hobby I really enjoy and it helps me cope with stress and use the wasted time I sit in public transport in a productive and fun manner.

So thank you Дуже дякую

I'm not the creator of the course, but I'm from Ukraine and I just want to say how I glad to see posts like yours. There isn't many people who needs to study Ukrainian in other contries instead of, for example, Russian, but it's so great that someone studies my native language just because he (or she :)) likes it. Thank you for your interest in Ukrainian.

This is such a great post, and I really couldn't agree more. I got interested in Ukrainian history and used this course when I went there to travel, and it made such a difference in terms of my ability to actually talk to people. I hadn't even remotely come close to finishing even a fraction of the course, but it's hard to overstate just how much having even a little Ukrainian changed the whole trip (especially since I was travelling solo). Ukrainian is such a beautiful language, and I'm deeply grateful to every person who has worked on this course or contributed to the development of it. You all are heroes, and we love you!

Початкове повідомлення починається з фрази: "Seriously, it's the little languages that deserve the spotlight." Зі різними даними українською володіє від 33 до 50-ти мільйонів людей, що, відверто кажучи, не так вже й мало.
