Incubator

Just wanted to discuss my feelings about the Incubator. I've seen how the Dutch and Irish courses are racing to the finish, and I can't wait for them to be completed. Danish, surprisingly, is behind them, making incredible progress. I just wanted to let not only them, but all of our teams here on Duolingo know that their efforts are appreciated. I'm also looking forward to all of the other courses, particularly Romanian. Good luck to you all. :)

Thank you very much :) It is very hard work, so it is great to have support. I have been talking a lot with the Dutch team and we have been sharing ideas and being very creative, so our courses will be very unique when they are released.

Yes, our courses will definitely have that personal touch :) The main contributors for the Dutch course (KaiEngle and Lavinae) are putting in a lot of hard work to make sure the course is unique and teaches not only the language, but also just a bit of the Dutch culture. And team Irish is doing the same, from what I've seen in our chat!

I too am really looking forward to the arrival of Romanian, but unfortunately (as you will have seen for yourself) it isn't quite at a desirable progression rate.

Me too, Romanian looks so fun from what I have done so far in the English for Romanian speakers course, it's sad that the estimated compleation date is so far away.

A lot of people support the course creators and contributors! In fact, neither Dutch nor Danish nor Irish are in my non-existing language bucket list, but I still observe the progress almost daily and I'm really looking forward to those courses because they bring DuoLingo a step further and joy to thousands and millions of people. And they are doing an incredible job.

Onwards! ;-)
