What is the best way to set up a timed challenge for my students?

I'd like to host a Duolingo Challenge hour as part of our school's international week. The tricky part is that I'd like to open the challenge to any students and let them participate in learning any language (besides English). My best guess is to have entrants to the challenge join a specially created class and have the class Leaderboard projected for everyone in the challenge to see. The winner of the leaderboard after an hour wins the competition. So, has anyone tried this before? A couple issues I am concerned about: Will I be able to have any language be a part of the competition? If a student has been using Duolingo before the "challenge hour" will that be reflected in their scores for the Leaderboard? Could Duolingo possibly send me a promo shirt or 3 for a prizes?!

Thanks everyone!
