I have been studying Latin for three years and i am quite fluent in it, i even use it for discussions during class, this is a good practice for me, i like it and will recommend it for anyone who wants to learn or practice.

It's pretty cool learning the mother of the languages

Be careful with saying that, however. Latin is not the mother of Mandarin, German, or Arabic, for example. ;)

What it is, is the mother of the Romance languages.

Well, it certainly can be a mother when you're learning it. ;)

[Added] But the mother of the languages? No. that was Swedish. See 8:53 into the video, " . . . ostendit linguam Sueticam esse originem non modo linguae Latinae, patet, sed omnium linguarum" [he (Rudbeck] demonstrated that Swedish is the source not only of Latin (that's obvious), but of all languages]. ;)
