"Marcus also saves Father."

Translation:Marcus quoque patrem servat.

September 29, 2019

The more usual way, and the only way to extinguish possible ambiguity in the sentence, is to put the "quoque" right after the word it serves to emphasize.

http://www.dicolatin.com/FR/LAK/0/QUOQUE/index.htm (in French)

Translation from the page:

Quoque: "also", adv. : (after the word it emphasizes), likewise

So the emphasis is here on "Marcus": Marcus too, saves his father.

Did he save anyone else? Or did he help others save his father. I went for Marcus servat patrem quoque. (and got the.. do not pass go, do not collect 200 treatment)
