Where can I find good resources for learning Tibetan? I would love to see a course on here. I started using a different app in conjugtion with duo and I was happy it had Thai and Persian but I still have trouble finding resources on Tibetan, even though I do like the TibetTv youtube channel, it is meant for those already fluent in the language... music recommendations also would be appreciated. It's only a matter of time before Tibetan and Burmese are added, I believe. It'd be nice to have languages from different language families on here but I am grateful for what is already on here too.
Thanks guys ^_^
Hi Yannai. Interestingly Memrise might be able to help you with Tibetan. Hope this helps. Be well! (Edit: hi Judit. Yes you're right, it is mostly vocab, I use it a lot for that and the lovely dark mode:-)
I'd love to learn Tibetan one day too and have looked around for some study material..
Maybe this book is something for you?: https://www.amazon.com/Colloquial-Tibetan-Jonathan-Samuels/dp/113895019X/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=learn+tibetan&qid=1570208999&sr=8-4
I think generally, more South Asian languages should be added. I would love to see Dzongkha and Thai on here as well. :)
Those would both be lovely additions, along with Nepali ^_^ South Asian languages are great. I am thinking they will add a Dravidian language sooner than later, since they already have Hindi out and am sure they will add more Indian languages.
I think they will add Tamil or Telugu for English speakers once their respective reverse courses are finally released.
Tibetan writing in particular is so amazing looking to me. I will definitely be watching this discussion. Thanks for starting it!
I guess the Tibetan script is used for the Tibetan dialects and for Dzongkha in Bhutan! ^_^
There's a book/course out there called "Fluent Tibetan". From what I've heard it appears to be the best beginning course.
