Translating "if" and "whether" in sentences like "I asked them if they wanted to leave"?

I know "if" in conditional sentences like "If X then Y" is often translated as अगर or less often यदि, but what about sentences like "I asked them if they wanted to leave" or "I don't know if/whether these translations correct"?

Based on my limited knowledge of Hindi, my guesses would be something like these

But I don't know whether these translations are correct.

The first translation is right. But छोड़ना is not really used in that sense of 'leave' (it would imply that they are leaving for good). So, you can say

The second sentence needs a कि to separate the clauses.
The more common way to phrase this would be 'मुझे नहीं पता कि ये अनुवाद सही हैं या नहीं' ('I don't know if these translations are correct or not')
