Stories

Silly, charming, thought-provoking, and above all challenging - they really made me enjoy doing my French lessons all the more and now that I've finished what was there I miss them!

It's indicated that there are more planned... any idea as to when?

Spanish currently have 19 sets of stories, of 10 in each set.
Portuguese has 17 sets of stories, of 10 in each set.
German and French have 14 sets of stories, of 10 in each set.
And English for Chinese speakers has 5 sets of stories, of 10 in each set.

And the stories consist of the same stories as presented to you in the French Stories, plus for Spanish and Portuguese, stories that are not yet presented to you in the French stories.

Please be aware I have no inside information on this, and this is only in my opinion, that I think it is highly likely that Duolingo will be including more stories for French, in the near future.

I would also like to encourage you, and others, to also create enriched resources for learning French, as per the example post : [LTS] French Stories : Good Morning (1.1)

Thanks! I will check this all out Monday (I work weekends). I am curious about what is meant by more stories soon - any chance it's before the New Year? (what a great Christmas present it would be for all)

As it is with Duolingo, I, just as you, we will have to wait and see, and keep watching out.
And also be thankful for the wonderful resources that have been provided at no cost to us.

And perhaps even decide to do more than that, and consider contributing to these resources, in ways, for example, that I have described in this discussion. Or perhaps by other ways, that you would find useful for your language learning, and thus may also be useful for others language learning.

For instance, have you considered turning these stories into "games" that could be played between small groups of people, such is would occur if you choose to attend a host event, or in a classroom setting ?

Creating your own resources, and then also sharing them with others is also a fantastic way to learn, and can also be a lot of fun.
