I have entered first "Stephanus wants to sell a new toga", then replaced "a" with "the" - still shown as incorrect!

couldn't "wants" be replaced with "desires"?

Can this also be translated as Stephanus wants to sell his new toga? It is not allowed here but I have noticed that in other similar sentences a possessive can be assumed. eg Puella crustula sub stola celit where the translation is given as The girl hides the cookies under her dress.

I would say it could, especially given the right context. Report it I suppose and see what the course contributors decide to do.
