Time leap! I so loved that old series, Quantum Leap. "Tornare indietro nel tempo" is common and correct too; but I think duolingo just wants to teach you the idiom in this case :)

Does "fare un salto" automatically suggest a jump back in time? I offered "travel in time", which was marked wrong.
