You refer to "dormice" (Latin glis, gliris, pl. glires) = little mice-like rodent creatures that sleep a lot (dormire, to sleep) found in Petronius ยง31. They are cute little creatures that look like mice but apparently the glires in Petronius are not technically mice (closer to squirrels).
