Arabic Course

Hi Duo Team,

I’ve started the Arabic course and I’m loving it so far. I have three points to make about the display and interface with regards to Arabic that’s putting me off a bit.

I am finding the Arabic text size to small to read compared to the other languages, especially on a mobile device.

Secondly I have noted on the Audio button, the speaker logo can often cover the first part of the word and obscure vowels or dots below the line.

Thirdly it would be good to have the lightbulb on each lesson particularly with the Alphabet stage as I had to use other resources to understand the vowels and letter positioning.

I hope you see this and thanks for listening.

Hi Jim168592,

maybe you should write a feedback mail to the Duolingo team. This discussion forum is only for answering question/exchange with other learners.

When I wrote an email to the duolingo team, I always got a response.

Hope, I could help. :)

I agree to the small text size.

Do you know of any way to fix this? I see this is a common issue maybe there is a browser plugin or something.

Duolingo is quite terrible if you want to learn the language properly. I have qualifications in Arabic and I find Duolingo quite bad at teaching the grammar and the original formal language of Arabic. The short vowels requires education on a mastery level to understand and I find it's approach to them a little tedious.

Re #1: If you are using a computer, you can just hit control + until you can read the finer script. Someone else pointed that out to me...it is very hard to see dots in tiny script.
