Salvete amici,

While waiting for the stories, you could try Lingua Latina Illustrata

Hello. A free course did exist about this book, it was by mail. Someone heard of that?

As present tense (indicative active) is about all that has been presented in the Latin course, any stories would be quite simple and not at the level of Duolingo stories in other languages. The course developers would better spend their time expanding the course. There are some suggestions for easy reading in this thread. But pay attention to what Quidam_Homo says, as he is right (IMHO).

Yeah, I guess that makes sense, it was just a thought.

Well, but you're right, Duo stories in Latin wold be great! While waiting you might try some of the suggestions made in the thread I linked to, incl. Lingua Latina [per se] Illustrata that alfredo_555 mentioned, too. That's a book (series) that would teach you plenty of Latin while waiting for more from Duo.

I would recommend the podcast 'Latinitium' which, although not for beginners, routinely has little stories read aloud on it. Fantastic podcast and highly recommended.
