Proper use of (Esperanto) sentence threads
This has come up recently in the Esperanto forum and in individual Esperanto sentence threads. This morning I came upon a new thread in the main area worth reading. It's by a moderator named Lrtward and called Errors in Courses, and the proper use of Sentence Discussions and summarized as follows: Sentence Discussions are not for reporting errors.
Since this has come up on the Esperanto board, I thought I'd call that to your attention. There's lots of good discussion there.
If you find an error in the Esperanto course, use the "report a problem" button. If you have a question, include the full sentence that was rejected and ask your question about it. Read the other comments before posting your question - often the answer to your question is already posted.
If you want to know why it's so especially troublesome in the Esperanto forum, please read Ionasky's post here: https://forum.duolingo.com/comment/33082222
Duo has no system of notifications. I mean up/down vote of the comments, new responds to my answers, taken lingots e.t.c. I know there are notifications in my mailbox, but it is so uncomfortable. Why not to do it right here in the website? It can solve a lot of problem, including making new discussions.
Once I made a post because I forgot to follow the discussion, and was afraid I'd not be able to find it again.
