Write your name by Arabic

There is something special in Arabic that non-Arabic names can be written easily, because if you noticed Arabic alphabets is so much. Although you find your name has a sound that isn't existed in the alphabets, there are some (extra) letters in Arabic they're not used in the language, but names. Almost Arabs know how to pronounce them directly.

If you are not sure about the written of your name send it here and I'll help:)

If you'd like other Arabic learners benefit from this page, please vote it +1, thanks.

I wonder how'd you write Mopas Mipy in Arabic, as P isn't a letter in the language- or so I've heard.

Thanks and Good Luck! :D

So موباس ميبي? (I typed it using Google Translate's Arabic keyboard) Also, while typing this, Google Translate was set to Arabic->English & it translated موباس ميبي as MOBAS MEPI! xD

(I know that sometimes you don't write evry vowel so this is my next best try: موبس مبي)

Thanks and good luck! :D

No, it's موباس ميبي

When Arabs read foreign names they pronounce what they read م و ب ا س , but if you wrote it موبس , we'll read it as Mobs. Hhh, so keep with موباس ميبي:)

Noted, names have all the vowel letters & Arabic real words don't always have those. Thank you so much & GL! :D

welcome, Good luck to you too

Gosh, that is so wonderful for you to offer this.

How would you write ? :

da kanga

And if I could ask for a second request ?
How would your write:

Lin

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/lolo.ms

If the pronunciation seems for English so, da kanga= دا كانغا ,Lin= لين

If you notice the letter غ is not G in Arabic, but when we talk about non-arabian names it is:)

note: Jeemج also is G in names, but because you can see foreign names has also J ,so Jeem is used for J such in James جايمس, but you will not see except rarely languages has Ghainغ sound..

so such as Gary غاري, Greysonغريسون , Gustavo غوستافو start with غ.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/lolo.ms

Guys the vowels in the name sometimes unnecessary, but depends on you like جيمس and جايمس for James they are same, but if you want it to be clear the sound (Jay) in James write it جايمس. Anyway James is a common names, so if you wrote it جيمس we'll read it with the sound jay even without the Alef (ا) *Alef then Ya'a has the same sound for (a+c+e) c is consonant

Anna Green -

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/lolo.ms

Well job Anna!!

Just notice that the sound of A in Anna is longer than it can be with the sound أ so the correctest is آنا the Alef has (~) above it... Not a serious wrong, so don't worry.. Keep going:)

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Annalu27

Someone else told me it was alif madda, but then someone else said not. I’ll go with آنا

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/lolo.ms

"there are some (extra) letters in Arabic they're not used in the language"

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/lolo.ms

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/LBX27

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/lolo.ms

I'm not really sure, because when traveling through Arab countries they often understood and called me Amy xD

Maybe

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/LBX27

إمّـــة -_- or ايما
Depends on pronunciation

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/lolo.ms

No:) it is always ايما

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/lolo.ms

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/LBX27

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/LBX27

Laurent = لورينت

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Laurent998816

Not really, since you don't pronounce the T at the end (in french) :)

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/LBX27

ooh in frenchI am sorry

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/lolo.ms

But I think in French the sound of (r) is seems like the Ghain (غ) in Arabic, right?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/lolo.ms

Anyway, I think it's (r), so well done Laurent:)

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Laurent998816

You are right that Ghayn is closer to the french R ! It sounds a little hard, but thanks for the heads up :)
