I'm trying to add assignments to my classes but I'm not sure my students are seeing them. Help?

I put myself in one of my classes so that I can receive the notifications that the students receive. That's how I originally knew there was a bug. (It's fixed now.)

As far as I know, students cannot see the assignments from the Smartphone apps. They can only see them on the browser. I made a classroom with teachers at my school to test things out and they are telling me they can't see it on the app.
For the app, if they are using their phone, I have students use their internet browser and click to show the screen in desktop mode. This will allow them to see assignments even if they are on their phone.
