Arabic Bugs/New Features
Not sure if anyone is listening. I am "puttering with German and Arabic" I generally use an android phone and Windows/Firefox to access the app/page.
- In Arabic, there is to "Lightbulb"/lesson instructions on the Android app. It is available on the webpage.
- In Arabic, the Arabic characters are so small, especially the vowel marks, I have to use a magnifying lens to see them. The English is large enough so it would be good to be able to pick a larger font size for the Arabic. Otherwise I have to increase the font size for the whole phone.
- The words tab doesn't show up on the Arabic page. I tried the "select the German (with words tab), open another tab, select Arabic, close the tab, go back to the German and see the Arabic words even though the page is labelled German" method but it only worked once! This is a useful feature and making the "words" tab work on the Arabic tab seems trivial to me. (A pretty good computer guy)
Someone posted a script to override the css. I’ll post link if i see it again
I stumbled upon something by chance today that look very helpful. After entering your translation of a question or statement, check your answer, then press "discuss". Then see the correct answer. (So far, everybody knows this), but wait....Looking at the Arabic words in the answer, if you click on any of them, you will be taken to another page with definitions and sample sentences of that word. And the nice thing is that the fonts are much bigger. Believe me, your learning will improve. I don't know how this works on the phone app because I'm on a desktop, but try it and let us know how it works for you. Best wishes.
