"Eu gosto de fruta, exceto uva."
Why not "I like fruit, except for grape." The Portuguese sentence uses the singular "uva" rather than "uvas" should I not do the same in English? Is there something that I'm missing to indicate when you should use plurals in your translations and when not to?
+1 also! How is "uva" the plural for grapes? Am I missing something? Blah.
