"Madainn mhath, a bheil Gàidhlig agad?"

Translation:Good morning, do you have Gaelic?

Is saying "do you have Gaelic" the same as "do you know/speak Gaelic?"


It doesn't accept "know", though


Am I the only one who is not entirety happy with this as "correct" English.

I guess the idea is to help people by doing a literal translation but it is hard if your first language is not English. It is better to use correct English and correct Gàidhlig rather than mistranslating into an error.

If I told you that "I have English" you would say that it is wrong. Instead "I (can) speak English"
