Does anyone else think the audio for "Fàilte" is a bit strange?

Sounds like an audio glitch at the very beginning of the sentence. The audio for fàilte on its own is okay though.

I have just listened to it and it sounds grand!

Yes, make a comment in the report a problem section. I just did.

Also make a post in the forum here: https://forum.duolingo.com/topic/969 so that it's easier for the contributors to spot what the glitch is and they won't necessarily see this sentence discussion, but should see the post on the forums :-)

I answer...Welcome lain. Says I am incorrect?

It is an i at the beginning.

Does the te in fàilte make a ch sound?

Iain translates to John in english. For example my friend's name was Iain until he started school and the english teachers would only call him John

the answer was, Slainte Iain, not Failte Iain.
